New Eternals and Discounts
First off, for those curious about when and how future Eternals will be released, we’ll be releasing Eternals in entire Series. This means that Series 2 will release for all champions available at the time in January 2021.
Like our other personalization offerings, Eternals will have discounts similar to those for Champions and Skins, with a bigger discount for when we launch new Eternals.
Eternals Capsules
Eternals Capsules are Loot items that players can earn for free by simply playing the game. By completing missions during events, earning a new fourth tier Ranked Split Reward, or qualifying for and receiving a Victorious skin during a season, players will receive an Eternal Capsule that contains Set Shards for RP-only Eternals sets!
The first event that will distribute Eternal Capsules as a free reward is the upcoming Summer event. By completing a free mission that will activate around the end of the event’s mission chain, players can earn an Eternals Capsule. Beginning with Split 3 in Season 2020, every Split will award an Eternals Capsule for those who earn 750 Split Points. And finally, players who qualify for the season’s Victorious skin (ranking Gold or higher by the end of the season), will earn a specific Set for the champion receiving the skin along with the Victorious skin itself.

We’re also planning new features based on feedback from players who want more ways to show off their Eternals. We’re aiming to debut these features with the launch of Series 2 in January 2021, but timelines are subject to change:

When we announced Eternals last year, we were really excited to bring champion-specific stat-trackers to League of Legends. Eternals introduced more reasons to play your favorite champs, new ways to flex on your foes, and a novel form of progression that made the game more fun. However, it was clear from your feedback after our PBE reveal that we missed the mark in a few key areas.
As a result, we made the call to delay our launch while we took a step back and identified three ways to make Eternals a better experience:
Before we get into specifics on how we’re addressing these goals, let’s cover the basics: What are Eternals? And why are we excited about them?
What Are Eternals?
In a nutshell, Eternals are champion-specific stat-trackers that capture, celebrate, and flex your moments of glory in and out of game.

At launch, there will be two Eternals series available: a Starter Series (more on this later) and Series 1. Each series contains a set of three Eternals per champion, and we’ll release more over time as we see what stats players enjoy tracking.
Stats begin tracking as soon as you unlock them. When you pass a milestone, like 50 Bicycle Kicks on Lee Sin, a callout pops up in game that all players can see to celebrate the moment.

Eternals are also visible to other players alongside Champion Mastery in your Player Showcase. The Player Showcase is visible in two places: on the back of your champion card in the loading screen and on your opponent’s death screen after you kill them or assist in their death. The first set of Eternals you unlock for each champion are featured automatically, but you can customize which Eternals you want to feature. If you don’t have any Eternals, no problem, we’ll still show off your Champion Mastery just like on the loading screen.

A set can contain two types of Eternals, Common and Unique:
If you’re curious, you can see the full list of Unique Eternals for all champions here.
The price of each set is determined by how many Common or Unique Eternals it has. Common Eternals add 75 RP each, while Unique Eternals add 200 RP each.
For example, Series 1 contains sets with 3 Uniques and will cost 600 RP per champ, while a hypothetical future set with 2 Commons and 1 Unique would cost 350 RP.
Common vs. Unique Eternals
Eternals also have exclusive unlockable perks you can earn by hitting milestones within a series. Hit 5 milestones on a single Eternal, and you’ll start tracking your Personal Best for that stat. Beat your Personal Best in a match, and you’ll get a special milestone callout to show it off to other players in game!
Additionally, if you hit 15 milestones across any of the Eternals in a set, you’ll upgrade your Mastery Emote with an exclusive fiery effect. You can upgrade your Mastery Emote multiple times, so the more sets you complete, the cooler your mastery emote will look for that champion.
Now that we’ve explained how Eternals work, let’s talk about how your feedback helped make Eternals better.
What Did We Change (and Why)?
Based on your PBE feedback, we identified three ways to make Eternals a better experience:
Goal 1: Create more skill-expressive and exciting stats to track
Many of you told us our first series of Eternals wasn’t exciting enough and didn’t let you show off your skill in the ways you wanted. To address this, we’ve added two more Unique Eternals per champion to their launch sets, with an emphasis on capturing the high moments unique to each champion. Here’s an example of how one champion’s set evolved to be more skill expressive based on this feedback:

We also took some time during development to post our designs for all 435 of the new unique Eternals to get players’ feedback on where we were headed. It was really fun to work directly with you on designs, and it ultimately resulted in a bunch of modifications to the launch series. Here are a few more examples of the changes we made based directly on your feedback:
There were so many great ideas that you shared with us during our discussions that we couldn’t fit into our initial release, so we’re really looking forward to making them for future series. In the meantime, let us know what other top moments about playing your favorite champion you’d want to track and flex with Eternals. They could make their way into the next series!
Goal 2: Offer ways to earn Eternals without spending RP
This one comes in two parts: what we’re doing immediately at launch and what we’re doing in the months following release. Let’s talk about what we’re doing at launch first.
We think League will be a lot more fun for everyone if more players have access to Eternals, so we’ve created a Starter Series for every champion in the game.
Sets in the Starter Series are unlocked per champion, and are permanently available for 2500 Blue Essence or 225 RP. The Starter Series features the following Common Eternals:
We specifically chose these stats because they encourage teamplay and are applicable to all champions in the game. You won’t need to last hit a turret or dragon to get credit for these, so long as you participate in taking the objective or kill, your stats will go up.
Sets in the Starter Series behave just like any other set: hitting 15 milestones across any of the Eternals in a Starter Series set will upgrade your Mastery Emote. You can also unlock Personal Best for all of these stats by hitting milestone 5 on each of them.
In addition to the Starter Series, we’ll also be releasing Eternal Capsules as an additional free reward in Ranked Splits.
Eternal Capsules contain Orange Essence and two random Set Shards, which behave similarly to Skin Shards. A Set Shard will unlock an Eternals set for a specific champion when upgraded with Orange Essence. You’ll also be able to disenchant unwanted Set Shards for Orange Essence if you so choose.
With these updates, players will have multiple ways to unlock Eternals without spending RP. We’ll have more to share on Eternal Capsules and Set Shards after launch.
Goal 3: Provide discounts for players with broad champion pools
When we announced Eternals, we got lots of feedback saying that players with large champion pools didn’t have a great way to get Eternals for their entire roster without breaking the bank. Originally, we anticipated players would only unlock Eternals for one or two champs, but we realized we could do much better for players who want Eternals on every champion (or a whole lot of вЂem).
So at launch, you can grab a Series Pass that instantly unlocks all the Eternals in a Series for every champion at a massive discount.
You’ll have two options to unlock Eternals:
The Series 1 Pass will be priced at 5850 RP, which is more than a 90% discount compared to buying individually. The Series Pass is also available for the Starter Series, so if you want to get the Starter Series for every champ in the game using Blue Essence in a single purchase, you can do that with an even deeper discount. The Starter Series Pass will be available for 14750 Blue Essence or 1350 RP.
We’re really excited about all of these changes to Eternals, and can’t wait to see how high you push all of your stats in the years to come. ‘League of Legends’ Eternals Guide: Prices & How to Use Paid Achievements
Eternals, the latest way to show off your champion skills in League of Legends, has finally been released. The mastery system that’s gone through multiple reworks over the past year is finally available to players who want to show off how many Lee Sin kicks they’ve landed or how many of Annie’s Tibbers have wiped out entire teams.
How League of Legends Eternals Works
At launch, there will be two different series to purchase that contain the Eternal stat collectors. These sets can contain one of two different types of Eternals for one specific champion:

You can find the full list of every Unique Eternal currently available for every champion in the game right here. Everyone has three, meaning there are 435 different types one can purchase.
Once you have an Eternal, you can now use it to catalog what you’ve done with a champion. Each Eternal set has milestones that can be reached to earn rewards. For example, killing three Epic Monsters once you’ve purchased the Common Eternals moves you up to the next rank. Completing five of these milestones allows you to track your «personal best» scores for that stat. Hitting 15 milestones across any of the Eternals in a set unlocks an upgraded Mastery Emote with flames all around it.
When you hit a specific milestone in-game, like knocking 50 enemies away with an Anivia wall, a prompt will display for all players. Your Eternal skills will also be available in the loading screen, where currently you can see the enemy’s level and champion they are playing, and in your opponent’s death screen after you take them out.
Eternal Capsules
Throughout the ranked seasons, players will be gifted Eternal Capsules as an additional reward. They contain orange essence as well as two random set shards, that, when combined, unlock an Eternal set for a specific champion.
Eternals are basically paid achievements that allow you to track your stats. If that’s something you might be interested in, then you can currently purchase these Eternal sets on live servers.

Riot shed some light on League of Legends’ Eternals today—and they look glorious.
Eternals allow players to showcase their achievements and accolades on and off the Rift. Hitting a big milestone will let you and the players in your game know, allowing you to flex on the competition. And after months of developments, Riot finally revealed a slew of information on the stat-tracking feature.
Here’s everything we know about Eternals.
What are Eternals?
Eternals is a stat-tracking feature that allows you to “capture, celebrate, and flex your moments of glory in and out of game,” according to Riot. After purchasing an Eternal series, the stats begin tracking automatically. Right after you pass a milestone, like 50 Bicycle Kicks on Lee Sin, an in-game notification pops up that all players in the game can see.
Players will also be able to see Eternals stats, as well as your Champion Mastery, in your Player Showcase. This will be visible on the back of your champion card in the loading screen and in the death screen after you get a kill or assist on an opponent. Players can customize which Eternals they want to be shown in the Player Showcase.
There are two types of Eternals: Common and Unique. Unique Eternals are champion-specific stats, like how many long-distance Ashe arrows you hit. More general stats, like takedowns or epic monsters killed, are called Common Eternals.
Players can unlock perks by achieving milestones within an Eternal Series. After hitting five milestones on a single Eternal, players’ Personal Best for that stat will be recorded. And when you beat your Personal Best in a match, all players in the game will see the achievement pop up.

Hitting 15 milestones in an Eternal will upgrade your Mastery Emote with an “exclusive fiery effect.” The Mastery Emote can be upgraded multiple times with each Eternals set completed.
How much will Eternals cost?
Each set’s price is determined by how many Common or Unique Eternals it has. Each Common Eternals adds 75 RP to the price, while Unique Eternals add 200 RP each.
Series One will have sets with three Unique Eternals, which will cost 200 RP per champion. But if a future series has one Common and two Unique Eternals, it’ll change to 475 RP.
After the community’s widespread complaints on Eternals being RP-only, Riot will offer ways to earn Eternals without spending money.
The Starter Series of Eternals will be available for 2,500 Blue Essence (or 225 RP) per champion. This includes Common Eternals like takedowns, structures destroyed, and epic monsters killed.

Riot will release Eternal Capsules as free rewards in Ranked Splits. The capsules will contain Orange Essence and two random Set Shards, which work similarly to Skin Shards. Players can disenchant Set Shards they don’t want for Orange Essence and use that currency to upgrade a Set Shard into the real thing.
For players who have a wide champ pool and don’t want to spend an arm and a leg buying an Eternal for each one, Riot is offering a discount. A Series Pass instantly unlocks all the Eternals in a series for every champion at a reduced price. The Series One Pass will be priced at 5,850 RP, roughly 90 percent less than buying each champion’s Eternal individually.
A Starter Series Pass, that includes Common Eternals, will be purchasable for 14,750 Blue Essence or 1,350 RP.
When will Eternals release?
Riot hasn’t revealed a set date for the Eternals’ release. But they’re currently being tested on the PBE, suggesting that they may hit live servers soon.
