Failed to resolve hostname
My guild uses a teamspeak service of empire.t3.services
Connecting with that address works for everyone else. (About 50-60 people)
It never did for me.
I googled the topic, and most things I found suggested trying flushing dns, (and waiting a few days for that to take effect) or even changing the dns provider.
I did both, and there was still no change.
However, 50+ or so connect with using that as the server address in teamspeak just fine. I’m no expert in TS, my assumption it is some internal address that points to where it actually connects.
About a week ago I was able to obtain the actual ip from someone, but that no longer works. It doesn’t connect. I’m thinking the ip was reset.
I asked a bunch of different people for the actual ip, and no one really knows where to find it. One person did, but I want to know how to make this stop being an issue for me.

OP’s address is incorrect, it should be: empire.ts3.services
dante corrected it already.

Ah, but it’s wrong in the second paragraph.

I upgraded from Windows 7 Pro x64 to Windows 8 Pro x64 today, but now I can’t seem to connect to my clans Teamspeak server. But I can connect to the public default server on Teamspeak. I have TS3 (3.0.9.2), this is the error log:

I even tried to ping teamspeak.clanlod.us but it will not reply, I’ve tried flushing my dns but it still is not working. I also checked my host file but it too was normal. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling TS3 but I still get the same error. Any suggestions?
By the way, I had a fellow clan member try connecting to our TS and he can connect. I asked him for the ip address of our ts server so I can try that instead of the dns name

Hi, I’ve been having trouble with teamspeak lately, I can’t connect to some teamspeak ips. I can connect to all(I think) that have just the numbers. ex. «198.32.444:55065» But then there’s other ips, like the one im trying to get into right now «instinct.teamspeak.wtf» I can’t connect to and I would really like to chat with my friends, could you please help me!
I really wanna get in contact with my team at the ip of «instinct.teamspeak.wtf»
The server works fine for me. That’s all i can say when no log from you is available.
Try 208.43.14.17:1116 instead of instinct.teamspeak.wtf.

Thread: [Solved] failed to resolve hostname : Unknown error

I have a problem with the TS3 Installation. I try to connect to a server and i use a name instead of an IP adress and it returns the Error, that the hostname cannot be resolved. If i use the IP instead the connection only fails.
The console returns 2 Warnings that it faild to resolve update Server and failed to resolve Blacklist Server
The TS-Server is there, from a different Computer, in the same network, it works fine, both name and IP.
The DNS on my computer runs fine and other utilities like TS2 work fine too.
I can only connect to a server on the local intranet, which was the first Server that i connected to after installation.
I tried to reinstall TS3 serveral times. One time i reinstalled it not for everyone on the computer, but only for the current user and i was able to connect to the requestes Server. I thought the issue was solved, but after rebooting i had the same error.
The deinstallation process is not deinstalling everything, because after reinstalling all the old entries and changes i made are still there.
How can i wipe this data or does anyone have or had a similar Problem? Any Ideas?
