Force them to surrender unconditionally.
In your situation, thats the only real possibility I see of where a peace deal between axis and the alliance actually being feasable. A stalemate. And thats just not something that happens much in HOI4, so the devs havent implemented a solution yet. It would be very difficult to actually programmatically determine when a stalemate has occured, but they should allow for asking for peace at all times, even if the AI says no

There is no peace once the major wars start. You have to conquer the whole world at that point.
It’s the one thing that makes me start to lose my interest eventually. A never ending war with no repsite.
Yeah the peace system is annoying, I was playing as the Empire of the Platypus and was conquering the Nethelands’ colonies around Indonesia. It was going well and I was steadily gainng ground but then they joined the allies and I have a real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to deal with. Ideally I would want to surrender in this situation because there is no way to win against the overwhelming odds. Alas, maybe just turtling up as Iran is the best way to go.

I try to defend this game as much as I can on this forum, but you are right.. The reason why they didnt just port it over (outside of the difference in systems), is because of how the wars around this time were. they were total war, and they required complete submission of the loser. China didnt capitulate even when Japan had made massive gains.. but yes, in the possibility of stalemate, there would likely have been some kind of ceasefire and/or peace treaty
I’m currently playing as Revolutionary Iran, made the Middle Eastern Commune and pissed off Stalin enough by not joining the Comintern that he has decided to invade the middle east. After furious fighting mainly in Afghanistan and Turkey, we’ve reached a proper stalemate.
I dare not invade Moscow with the troop numbers I have compared to the Soviets and the Soviets seem baffled that their Stalin steel can’t penetrate Iranian lines.

This mod offers the option to make a peace deal with a country/faction you are at war with without capitulating it. It offers EU4 like peace deals that you can configure and send as a proposal to AI or other players.

This mod uses a combination of scripted diplomatic action and scripted GUIs. This combination might sometimes result in crashes origins of which cannot be traced or fixed without being an actual HoI4 developer. These crushes are rare and rarely happen two times in a row nevertheless it is advised to save the game before sending a peace deal.

Hitler offered the west (UK) numerous peace proposals following the fall of France (May/June 1940). That was the very height of Axis success and in no way could be reasonably interpreted as «they were losing. «.
So the other side of this argument is going to say that they dont care about historical they want Ahistorical outcomes. What they are not understanding is that CK2 and EU4 where in a far different age.
In the Modern age of a world war all those countries you ran over that supposedly don’t exist actually do still exist there governments are opperating out of some embassy in the UK. And when you go and ask for peace with the UK the only one left standing.
France Beligion Luxemburg Norway Finland etc etc all these countries you took over tell the UK absolutely not we are not giving up our country. And so they all vote no to peace and the UK continues to press on.
You need to think about it from a mutliple party point of view where all the countries have equal say!

Country tags [ править | править код ]
Country tags [1] are case insensitive, but conventionally written in upper case eg. USA, CHI, ENG, SOV. Nations spawned in civil wars are given a tag in the range D01, D02, D03 and onwards depending on availability (note that D50 is the highest available tag).
You can see the country tag by entering «tdebug» and hovering over a province of the country you want to know the tag of.
