Jotaro Part 6

Jotaro Kujo: Marine Biologist (Part 6) is currently the hardest boss in game. The only boss that can be compared with him is Heaven Ascended Dio. Jotaro is one of the bosses required to defeat in order to obtain Made In Heaven. This boss has been renamed «Joe Kujoe» in-game in order to avoid copyright issues.

Overview

Jotaro Kujo has approximately 800 health points. He also will take less damage from your attacks depending on if he is in combat precision. His Time Stop duration is equivalent to that of The World Over Heaven’s time stop, and he has infinite Time Stop Movement.

If you are trying to complete Pucci’s Heaven Plan, you must defeat this boss, as you require his Disc in order to obtain Made In Heaven. Jotaro’s Disc is 1 out of 2 items you need in order to obtain MIH; the other item being DIO’s Bone.

Where is Jotaro Part 6?

Jotaro is located at the side of The Prison (Diavolo’s Castle), standing on a feet-shallow ocean. After getting DIO’s Bone in the MIH quest, you will be assigned to defeat him for his Disc.

Behavior

When you are attacking him, he will immediately go into Combat Precision and will use Skull Crusher on you. After that, he will frequently do a combo consisting of 4 m1s and either a Barrage Finisher or Ora Kicks. He will also occasionally throw out a Platinum Slam, so use this to your advantage and parry. He will also sometimes barrage instead of doing his normal m1 combo, and always follow it with a Barrage Finisher. Keep in mind that Jp6 can and will read your inputs, so if you are holding block then he will most likely go for a block break. If he does break your block, he will almost always go for a barrage. When he gets to below half hp, then he will start time skipping behind you and using Ora Beatdown. This is the only time that JP6 will ever use Time skip. A little known fact is that Jp6 and Heaven Ascension DIO’s time skip have stun attached to them, so if Jp6 goes for a beatdown and you parry too early (or dont block at all,) it will land. The only way to avoid the beatdown is if you get lucky and he flings himself away from you before it can land, or by using a counter move or if a SPTW with Combat Precision is holding block. His beatdown has about a 40-50 second cooldown. At about 35% hp he will start using time stop every 10 seconds. When he is using time stop, make sure to jump away quickly, as he will use skull crusher or a barrage to keep you in place, then pummel you down. Jp6’s time stop does not have a damage cap. The number one skills needed to fight Jp6 is quick reaction times and proficient parrying. You may need a friend or two to defeat him (unless you decide to cheese the boss, strategies for that are listed below), but keep in mind that the kill goes to whoever does the most damage. His respawn time is approximately 6 minutes, just like Heaven Ascension DIO. Jotaro Part 6 is extremely violent, with low cooldowns and brutal attacks. In addition, he has everything maxed out and an extended Time Stop (length is akin to The World Over Heaven’s time stop) that cannot be RTZ’d. He is capable of immediately reacting whenever he is not stunned which is a trait no other NPC possesses, for difficulty reasons. When he goes into Combat Precision, his Skull Crusher cannot be interrupted.

Tips and Tricks

There are multiple strategies to beat this boss, the only thing you really have to worry about are his Beatdown and Time Stop, which both have cooldowns that are less than half the regular cooldown duration. If you keep these in mind and keep your guard up, you’ll be mostly fine, but there’s no harm in bringing a friend or two. Hamon is one of the best Specialities you can have in order to defeat this boss. Like most bosses, Joe has parriable moves in his moveset, but in a recent update, his Skull Crusher has been made unparriable. It can still be stopped through using the counter moves belonging to C-Moon, Gold Experience Requiem, Chariot Requiem and King Crimson/King Crimson Requiem though.

Strategies and Stands Recommended to Defeat Joe Part 6:

Pilot from Castle

If he gets up, use a knockback move to get him off the edge. Using Hamon will boost your damage and its really easy to charge.

The only thing to be concerned about is Time Stop, as he can do a lot of damage if you aren’t prepared. If you’re using C-Moon or another TS resist stand, try to jump when your TS resist is about to run out, which will limit the damage you will take. If you aren’t using a stand that has TS resistance, try to run as his Timestop is uncancellable.

Some recommended stands are Whitesnake and SCR. Whitesnake can remove stand to prevent him from using Skull Crusher and TS. SCR has infinite range.

A note about C-Moon is that your pilot range is just short of Joe. Using Gravitational Shift will fix that.

Cancelling Beatdown

Once Jp6 gets to around half health, he will start spamming beatdowns on the player. This beatdown can be parried, but the timing is quite difficult, and this beatdown often takes a players health down very quickly (especially in Combat Precision). However, there is actually a way to cancel the beatdown. When he is about to do a beatdown, heavy punch then turn around when he teleports behind you. If timed correctly, the punch will ragdoll him, cancelling the beatdown. Make sure to do the heavy punch first and then turn your camera around, otherwise you won’t have enough time to do the heavy punch.

NPC Missing Leg Glitch

When an enemy NPC is missing a leg and gets rag-dolled (usually by a Stand Barrage Finisher), they will begin sliding backwards for unknown reasons, and will be unable to advance towards you. You can take advantage of this by healing whenever Joe is in this bugged state, or chucking projectiles non-stop at him. Keep in mind he will still be able to use Skull Crusher, and it has infinite range, so when he does, let yourself get hit by Skull Crusher and then hit him with another rag-dolling move to put him back in the bugged state. Once Joe Part 6 regains his leg, though, he will be un-bugged, so you will have to repeat the process. Stands that can remove limbs include King Crimson Requiem’s Dimensional Slash, Gold Experience’s Summon Frog Life Form, The World Over Heaven’s Reality Overwrite Punch, and more. Gold Experience is the stand best suited to doing this glitch to defeat Joe, for in addition to a limb-remover and stand barrage finisher, it also has a beatdown, an immense heal (it will most likely heal you for more than a third of your health), and a tree summon as an additional wide hitbox rag-dolling move. The Missing Leg bug also applies in Time Stop, and Joe Part 6 will only be able to hit you with Skull Crusher in Time Stop (in which case you are in for a bad time, as it will un-bug him, allowing him to unleash hell in stopped time). The only downside to using this glitch is that it has a high chance of causing Jotaro to get flung if he gets hit by any additional ragdolls after being put in the bugged state, so try to stick to projectiles and regular punches when using this glitch.

Go into awakening, barrage, kick barrage, then block until you parry. Once you parry, punch him three times then block again. If he barrages, do not barrage back. Wait for the end and Parry. Repeat until he is killed.

The Hand + Hamon

You must have the Hamon Punch passive

The Hand’s Erasures deal a ton of damage, especially when paired with Hamon. After using your Erasures, combo him with all you got. Keep in mind that The Hand cannot move in stopped time, so as soon as he attempts to do so, jump and use Erasure Accel at the right time. This is especially effective with teammates, who can take him off you to wait for Erasure’s cooldown.

A recommended combo is G+Y+T+C+B+V.

King Crimson Requiem + Hamon

You must have the Hamon Punch and Sunlight Yellow Overdrive abilities

After you use Raging Demon and Jotaro is at low health, use your Reality Marble in order to stall time and get your Epitaph back, so you can counter his Beatdown. Finally, when he is about to stop time, you can quickly activate Time Erase which will grant you invincibility for the whole duration of the Time Stop.

G+T When Hit+C+Z+LMB x5

Star Platinum: The World + Hamon

You must have the Hamon Punch passive.

Although the boss itself has the same Stand, Star Platinum: The World has multiple attacks that can deal knockback. Your Beatdown especially will deal heavy damage and also stall time for you to heal. With Hamon, you can deal extreme damage. You should use a similar strategy to the one with KCR, except you just continuously knock back Jotaro and if he catches you in a barrage, barrage back- also use Sunlight Yellow Overdrive. With this Stand, you can move in Time Stop for 3 seconds, use this to your advantage and Time Skip into the air so Jotaro is unable to hit you. There is riskier, but more rewarding thing you can do in JP6’s TS and that is by using Ora Beatdown on him while he is using TS. This allows to get some damage in while in TS. You should also use Combat Precision to perfect block all of his attacks other than Skull Crusher.

G + T + Y + Zoom Punch + Ora Beatdown

Alternatively, you could do as follows:

Charge Hamon + Combat Precision + Platinum Slam + wait for Jotaro to perform his Skull Crusher as it cant be parried + hold block until you get a parry + 4 m1s + barrage. Once Jotaro has been parried, proceed to use 4 m1s + barrage + block. Rinse and repeat this technique until your Combat Precision runs out, or if Jotaro starts to use his time stop. Use Ora Beatdown while he is starting up his time stop. If Jotaro is still somehow alive at the end of your beatdown, use your m1s, or any move in your arsenal to finish him off.

Whitesnake

To start, use Burst Fire. Once he gets close enough, he will use Skull Crusher. Then, disable his Stand, and use EVERY move you have except for Barrage. Once 10 seconds is almost over, barrage, and then repeat all of this. There is a bug with this boss which is similar to Heaven Ascended Dio, but it’s harder to do. What you need to do is: Get Jotaro Part 6 to around half HP, then use T+Y. If you do the combo, there is a high chance JP6 will stop attacking you, following you instead. He will not react to your attacks, so you can punch him all you want without him fighting back. This glitch is very handy, as it not only allows to beat JP6 easily, but you also won’t need to deal with his Ora Beatdowns and Time Stop, as he only starts using them after he is lower than half HP. If another player punches JP6 while he is bugged, the player will be instantly beatdowned, and JP6 will start behaving as always again.

An alternate strategy with whitesnake is to max out your disc and first hit him with it, and then spam m1’s or barrage. As soon as your disc comes back, immediately use it again. If you do this a lot, there is a chance that Jotaro wont pull his stand out at all, and he can be dealt with.

See Pilot from Castle if this seems impossible for you.

C-Moon + Hamon / Boxing

You can use C-Moon alone, Hamon is just for a buff.

To start, use Surface Inversion Punch or Uppercut to the Moon, then keep distance from Jotaro.

If you miss an attack on Jotaro, use Gravitational Negation and Surface Inversion Punch to escape, then repeat combo.

Hamon: You can charge your Hamon while Jotaro is hit by Uppercut to the Moon or Surface Inversion Punch.

Ensure you have Time Stop Resistance, it can save you from attacks during Time Stop.

Boxing is also a viable option- use the same strategy stated above but with Boxing. You will need the Jawbreaker move (Mastered Technique can also be taken for less risk).

There is a much easier option.

Use Gravitational Shift and uppercut him, sending him flying away, then make a beeline for the rocks at the foot of the castle. Once Jotaro recovers, he will be unable to activate his Combat Precision (as you are too far away) and will use Skull Crusher, to which you use Gravitational Negation and stunning him. With Gravitational Shift active, jump into a high rock and send your pilot down to fight him. It is important to note that you should only use barrage and M1s. Repeatedly attacking him will cancel his attempts to use Skull Crusher, and other moves that ragdoll will give him an opportunity to teleport up and either beatdown or barrage after activating combat precision. When his health is low, he will activate his Timestop. M1 him for a short period of time before using Uppercut to the Moon when your Timestop Resistance runs out. This will effectively bail you out of getting assaulted during the Timestop. If fast enough, you can keep him below you and continue to attack him. If by chance he manages to reach your location, by then his health will be low and you can easily finish him off.

See Pilot from Castle

The World Over Heaven

This glitch is easy to do with this stand. Use Knives (Must have lightning for it to work) while being at a very far range, easiest range is the Abbachio Bridge. Then Time Skip over and use Reality Overwrite Punch (Y) To glitch him, you can now use any move to kill him. He doesn’t react to the knives. Use this as quick as possible because it is a glitch and might get patched.

Already got patched he becomes invincible if you try to do this now

D4C: Love Train

This glitch is easy, just shoot the pocket revolver at him then use love train so his broken damage is reflected. If your love train is finished use dimension hop and start running in circles until it’s over then use love train again. If he Time stops Dimension hop so he can’t land a finger on you.

There is a second method you can use to beat him. However, this method is tedious and may be frustrating at times. This method exploits the fact that NPCs are unable to leave your dimension after you use dimension hop on them. To do it, you can walk up to him and use 4 m1 attacks, followed by a barrage. You can then use either revolver or barrage finisher to add a little bit of damage. Follow it up with a love train. All his attacks will now be negated and reflected back at him. If he decides to use barrage, you can dimension hop while he gets love trained and transport him to your pocket dimension. Here, while he is still barraging, you can barrage back, then perform any combo you like until you exit your dimension automatically. This will leave Joe trapped in your own dimension and will allow you to heal. Once your dimension hop cool down is over, you can go back in and immediately use love train again. If he stand-crashes you the moment you enter, hold block to avoid his m1 attacks and parry his heavy punch. You can then love train again and barrage. He may try to barrage back, but doing so will get his own damage reflected onto him. Any health you lost in the dimension can be healed in the original world, while Joe is still in the pocket dimension. When he starts to use timestop, it will affect you in the base world, so only use dimension hop after he timestops to prevent the cooldown from resetting. Rinse and repeat, and if you’re lucky, you can get him caught in his own beatdown by love train.

Gold Experience Requiem

To Start, Go to a Big Rock on the left side of Jotaro Near the Castle. Then Use Awakening and Make sure your avatar’s back is facing the edge so if Jotaro Uses Skull Crusher, He will fall off the edge. After those steps are done, spam Life Beam of Creation and Summon Life Form and if awakening is used, The dmg gets buffed. If Jotaro uses skull crusher Go back to the edge and Make sure your avatar’s back faces the edge of the rock and make sure you don’t fall. Use Return To Zero when Jotaro uses Time Stop. Use Self Heal when your health is 50% or Below 50%. and if Jotaro gets up to you at the rock, Use Nullification and Knockback him down and make sure he doesn’t Beatdown you.

Beatdown Spam

This tactic can be used by 4 SP:TW, or 3 TA4. The tactic is, one person starts by beatdowning the boss. Then when that person and JP6 are barraging each other then one of the other people beatdown the boss. This is so JP6 can’t perfect block the beatdown as he’s barraging. After that next person beatdowns JP6, then after their barraging each other, another person beatdowns JP6. From there you continue in a loop, because by the time the last persons beatdown is over, your beatdown will be over too.

Magician’s Red

This is one of the more simple strategies to defeat this boss. For this, you wanna have Crossfire Hurricane and a high amount of Pyrokniesis upgrades. To do this simple trick, you must be at a fair amount of distance away from Jotaro. Once you are far enough, aim your crossfire hurricane so Jotaro can be in the radius of the burn, but not within the radius of getting flung. If done correctly, Jotaro will take damage and not attack you. Repeat the process until he’s around low HP. From there, you may attack him until he dies.
